Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to tell you that I’ve had to delete the forums. The script we were running was useless at keeping spammers out and as a result there was a lot of inappropriate content being posted.
I will try and find a better script and hopefully start a new forum one day.
Richelle has just announced that a short story, set in the Vampire Academy world will be released in Kisses from Hell, an anthology of YA paranormal stories! The story will be about how Lissa’s parents met, you can read a short excerpt here.
But here’s what I can post! Next week, on August 24, Kisses from Hell will be released. KFH is an anthology of YA paranormal stories, and I have one in there called “Sunshine.” It’s set in the Vampire Academy world and is about how Lissa’s parents met. You can read an excerpt of that right here.
Preger recently took questions from fans on the official facebook page and posted their answers!
1.When is the movie coming out?
Once we have a finalized deal with a studio we would ideally like to have the film in the theatres 18 months later.2. Have any studios showed interest?
We have met with our first round of studios and are continuing to have active talks. Many things go into a studio taking on a project: budgets, schedules, etc. It’s not only finding a studio that wants to do the film, it’s about finding the RIGHT studio. Once we have some official news, you will be the first to know!3. Who is in the cast?
Casting won’t begin until a script is written, which won’t happen until we make a deal.

If you’ve been following Richelle’s blog you’ll be aware that she teased us about a big announcement happening at Comic Con! Well the news is out! Vampire Academy is going to be made into a graphic novel! Richelle has posted the cover which you can see here.
This is great news! The novel will be released in August 2011, its a bit of a wait but remember we have Last Sacrifice in December, so that should help us along the way!
