Unlike most of the royals in St. Vladimir’s Natalie prefers to keep to herself and rarely takes part in the royal party lifestyle. Very chatty and sometimes quite dull, Natalie is seemingly a normal Moroi girl, however on her father’s orders she spends the majority of Vampire Academy spying on Lissa, trying to catch her in the act of using Spirit. It is also revealed that Natalie is behind the trail of dead animals left in Lissa’s path. At the end of Vampire Academy, Natalie turns Strigoi on Victor’s orders, by killing the elderly Salvic arts teacher, Mr. Nagy. She then proceeds to help her father attempt to escape and attacks Rose in the process however Dimitri interrupts and kills her.
